The 2018 LA Auto Show is less than a week away, so automakers are starting to tease us with their big reveals in the city of angels. This year, Mini will be bringing four new special edition models of the Cooper, Countryman, and Clubman, all of which will be making their US debut.
Mini also confirmed it would be bringing back the John Cooper Works GP model in 2020, though it won’t be making an appearance in LA. Instead, here are some details about the four special edition Mini models that will be on display.
Pictured here is the John Cooper Works Knights Edition based on the John Cooper Works Hardtop. This special edition model is available exclusively in Midnight Black and includes silver and red accents. The Knights Edition also features a John Cooper Works exhaust flap system with chrome exhaust tips and is the first Mini to wear piano black badges. Expect the John Cooper Works Knights Edition to arrive in dealers Q1 of 2019.
The other Cooper model on display at the show is the John Cooper Works International Orange Edition. The International Orange Edition was previously shown off by Mini and is currently available at dealerships.
Mini will also show off a special edition of the Countryman SUV called the Yin Yang Edition. This special edition model is available in either Midnight Black or Light White with a contrasting roof and stripe. Mini says the Ying Yang Edition will be available next month at dealerships across the US.
Finally, the Mini Clubman Starlight Edition comes in Blue Metallic exterior paint with a Melting Silver roof. The mirrors, center caps, and stripes are also Melting Silver. Like the Countryman Ying Yang Edition, the Starlight Edition will also arrive in dealers next month.
